Job Description

Santa FE Mazda is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to join our team in Santa Fe, NM. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive controller duties, with hands-on experience in Dealertrack systems. This role is pivotal in managing our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting departmental efficiencies. Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
  • Utilize Dealertrack software to manage dealership financial processes and reporting
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and dealership policies
  • Coordinate with external auditors and handle tax filings
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with dealership management to develop budgets and forecasts
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an automotive controller or in a similar financial management role
  • Proficiency with Dealertrack and other dealership management software
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
