Estimator – Commercial Construction | $125K–$150K+ | Huntsville, AL

A well-established commercial construction firm with a strong reputation is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team in Huntsville, Alabama . This is a key leadership role offering excellent growth potential, a competitive compensation package, and performance-based bonuses. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a wide range of commercial construction projects. This individual will collaborate closely with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and leadership to ensure projects are priced strategically and executed efficiently from bid to closeout.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals for commercial projects.
• Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to identify scope, materials, and labor requirements.
• Develop subcontractor and supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing and quality performance.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings and value-engineering discussions.
• Collaborate with project teams to transition successful bids into project execution.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, market pricing, and local subcontractor base.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in commercial construction (ground-up or large-scale renovations).
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and cost structures.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.

Compensation

• Base Salary: $125,000–$150,000 (commensurate with experience)
• Bonuses: Performance-based annual bonuses
