Russell Tobin's client is hiring a Speech and Language Annotator in Bellevue, WA

Employment Type: Contract - Part-time

Location: Onsite - Bellevue, WA 98004

Pay rate: $18-$19/hr

Description:

We’re seeking Speech and Language Annotators to support the development of advanced speech and language technology. In this role, you’ll transcribe and annotate speech data to help improve how users interact with AI-powered systems. You’ll work under the direction of the Annotation Program Manager to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality across all deliverables.

Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on speech transcription and annotation services.
• Follow established linguistic and annotation guidelines with precision.
• Collaborate with management on workload scheduling and deliverables.
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines.
• Communicate clearly with technical teams to ensure project consistency
• Analyze data and present actionable insights.
• Multitask effectively across multiple speech domains while working independently.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Native speaker in one of the following languages: Canadian French, French, Dutch, or Hindi.
• Excellent English communication skills (must be bilingual).
• Strong computer literacy and ability to type 50+ WPM.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Preferred: Prior experience in transcription or data annotation.
