This position works exclusively with our snowboarders who are members of Beech Mountain Academy. Practices are Saturdays and Sundays from 8 am-12 noon. Beech Mountain Academy is an inclusive team of young athletes (ages 5-18) dedicated to ski racing, free skiing, and snowboarding. We have a passion for winter sports. Through programs that instill values of goal setting, discipline, sportsmanship, work ethic, determination, commitment, and fun, our athletes are prepared to compete in local, regional, and national events. Beech Mountain is affiliated with the United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA), the Southern Alpine Racing Association (SARA), as well as the High Country Junior Race Series (HCJRS). Beech Mountain Academy is inclusive of all athletes with the desire to learn and grow. All athletes must be a phase 2 or higher to apply for the team.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure a positive memorable experience for athletes and staff by teaching snow sports in a safe and fun learning environment
• Create a quality experience for our athletes and staff by showing empathy and care.
• Shows interest in snow sports education by attending mandatory and non-mandatory training clinics and workshops inside and outside the resort.
• Maintain the highest level of professionalism by adhering to uniform requirements, and grooming policies, and being loyal to our athletes and company.
Requirements or Qualifications:
• Experienced snowboarder with an understanding of snowboarding techniques, skills, competitions (not limited to slopestyle, rail jam, big air, boardercross), and park setup.
• Works well with peers and athletes and has a passion for personal growth in snow sports. Driven to see athletes grow and excel in their chosen discipline.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
You must have 4WD/AWD/Snow chains and the ability to drive in inclement weather.
