Utah Fabrication is an AISC- and ASME-certified steel fabricator serving a diverse customer base across multiple industries. Our projects include industrial weldments, pressure vessels, plate work, and commercial construction—utilizing a wide range of metals and fabrication processes.

We are seeking a Structural / Misc. Steel Detailer to join our in-house team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, driven, and capable of producing accurate shop drawings for various project types. • Read and interpret design drawings and specifications to generate accurate shop drawings for approval and fabrication.
• Collaborate closely with the detailing and modeling team to meet tight deliverable deadlines.
• Prepare and submit RFIs (Requests for Information) when additional details or clarifications are required.
• Work with .NC1 and .dxf file outputs for automated beamline and plasma table machinery.
• Review, check, and verify drawings and submittals for accuracy and completeness.

• Strong blueprint reading skills and ability to interpret design specifications.
• Experience with Tekla Structures and/or Solidworks for steel detailing.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam Studio software.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work 40 hours per week on-site.
• Highly organized with a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
• Self-motivated, strong problem-solving skills, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Capable of working efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-oriented mindset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
