Title: OSKJP00001912 - Test & Development Engineer
Job Description:
- The Engineer - T&D under the guidance and supervision from the senior engineering staff, plan, coordinate and work with technicians to accomplish projects involving heavy-duty vehicles test and/or development.
Responsibilities:
- Under close supervision, perform basic engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned according to Client as well as general industry engineering standards and processes.
- Support Senior Engineers in the preparation of basic plans, designs, computation methods, and/or reporting.
- Under close supervision, work on projects of limited complexity in a support role.
- Collaborate as needed with other engineering or business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally.
- Assist with establishing of requirements for testing of heavy-duty vehicles and associated equipment according to the needs of the project.
- Recommend what equipment resources are necessary to accomplish the test.
- Assist in formulating project estimates.
- Assist in creating test plans and implementing them via communication to engineers and technicians.
- Create plans for fixtures and test apparatuses and supervise their construction and development.
- Coordinate, supervise and monitor progress of testing.
- Recommend corrective actions needed to maintain schedule and cost targets.
- Communicate the status and results of tests as needed.
- Ability to travel 10%.
- Support TIR resolution meetings.
- Support Prototype team member safety discussions.
- Research, plan, and execute testing related to standard.
- Identify opportunities within defined standards to support the projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Regular attendance is required.
Requirements:
- Experience in automotive or heavy-vehicle equipment.

Education:
- Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with Internship experience or six (6) or more months of related work experience.
