Job Description

The Warehouse Technician will be responsible for the administration of material logistics in the central warehouse. This includes ensuring timely turnaround on material requests, inventory control, and administration of periodic cycle counts in inventory locations.

Physical Requirements:

• Continual lifting, lowering, and carrying packages weighing 25–35 lbs. , and occasionally up to 70 lbs.

Key Responsibilities

• Physically locate inventory items
• Process standard and freight shipments through shipping vendor’s online portal
• Maintain shipping log details for each transaction
• Stage, reserve, and allocate inventory items per system requests
• Perform periodic cycle counts and physical inventory (PI)
• Operate construction tools and equipment (e.g., concrete saws, core drills, vacuums, skid steers, forklifts, etc.)
• Conduct work safely and perform daily site and equipment safety checks
• Familiarity with Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) fiber installation standards and practices
• Working knowledge of ROW construction standards (aerial and underground)
• Working knowledge of NESC, NEC, and OSHA standards
• Knowledge of wireless/telecommunications technologies and platforms

Education

• High School diploma or GED
• Military or technical school training in telecommunications, electronics, and AC/DC power systems preferred

Experience

• 3–5 years in warehouse or construction (OSP preferred)
• Experience with inventory in Telecommunications/ISP/Fiber Optic space
• Strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data entry
• Understanding of UPS/FedEx shipping software
